APT Medical's Distal Radial Approach Band is a compression device designed specifically for hemostasis at the distal (snuffbox) radial access site. Its contoured, transparent pad applies targeted, adjustable pressure over the arteriotomy for clear visualization of the puncture and controlled patent hemostasis, with a shape suited to the anatomy of the distal radial region. Multiple configurations cover the range of distal transradial procedures.
Clinical applications
Applied over the distal radial (anatomical snuffbox) puncture after sheath removal to achieve and maintain hemostasis, allowing graded pressure reduction to preserve radial artery patency following transradial catheterization.
