The Jawz™ Endomyocardial Biopsy Forceps are single-use bioptomes designed to deliver clean, well-defined myocardial specimens with fewer passes. Two symmetrical, precision-machined stainless-steel cutting jaws align to produce sharp margins and reduce crush artifact, while a rotating three-ring handle gives the operator full control of bite force and thumb position throughout the procedure. The line offers a choice of jaw sizes and French sizes, straight, pre-curved, and maxi-curved shaft configurations, formable and non-formable shafts, and stainless-steel or FEP-coated options.
Clinical applications
Sampling of endomyocardial tissue during right (or left) ventricular biopsy, most commonly for surveillance of cardiac transplant rejection and the diagnosis of myocarditis and cardiomyopathies. Introduced through a vascular sheath under fluoroscopic or echocardiographic guidance via jugular or femoral access.
