The Homer™ Breast Localization Needle features a strong, flexible J-curve wire that can be retracted and repositioned as often as needed to achieve accurate placement before breast surgery. Its fixed-needle design helps reduce the risk of wire transection, while centimeter markings provide a reference for placement depth. The needles are offered across a range of gauges and lengths to suit varied lesion locations.
Clinical applications
Preoperative localization of non-palpable breast lesions under mammographic or ultrasound guidance, guiding the surgeon to the target during excisional biopsy or lumpectomy. The repositionable J-curve wire allows adjustment until optimal placement is achieved.
