This line centers on the Option™ ELITE Retrievable Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filter, a single-piece nitinol filter designed to capture thrombi in the vena cava and reduce the risk of pulmonary embolism. Its low-profile 5F delivery system supports deployment by standard or over-the-wire technique from femoral, jugular, antecubital, or popliteal access, and the filter can be retrieved once protection is no longer required. Leg extensions, curved anchors, and a transitionless apex are designed to resist tilt, perforation, and migration.
Clinical applications
Placement in the inferior vena cava to provide mechanical protection against pulmonary embolism in patients with, or at risk of, venous thromboembolism when anticoagulation is contraindicated or insufficient. The retrievable design allows removal when the patient no longer requires filtration.
